BUFC Tigers, Crew Claim Championships at Coast Spring Classic

BUFC Force, Lions, Panthers Advance to Finals of Myrtle Beach Tournament

The Beach United Football Club had a big weekend in its own back yard at the 2017 Coast Spring Classic, recording two championships and three runner-up showings in the Myrtle Beach area tournament.

In girls action, the BUFC Tigers captured the championship of the U-10 Girls third division, going 3-0-1 and claiming a thrilling 1-0 victory over the SCUFC Red in the final. They allowed only three goals all weekend.

The BUFC Crush turned in a strong defensive performance in the U-11 Girls third division, allowing only one goal all weekend. Unfortauntely, they only scored one goal and finished the tournament at 1-1-1.

The BUFC Panthers tied for first atop their pool but suffered a 2-1 loss to the PISA Hurricanes in the championship match to claim runner-up honors.

In boys action, the BUFC Crew won the championship in the U-10 Boys third division by going undefeated and beating SSA Savannah United Black 4-2 in the title match.

The BUFC Lions went a perfect 3-0 in pool play to advance to the championship game of the U-9 Boys fourth division before falling 3-2 in the final and settling for runner-up honors.

The BUFC Force defeated the Coast 05 Black 4-3 to advance to the title match of the U-12 Boys fourth division against MHS Elite. Tied 1-1 after regulation, overtime and the first round of penalty kicks, the Force fell short in sudden death PKs for second place.

The BUFC Strikers has a rough winless weekend against a tough field in the U-11 Boys fourth division.
