Training focuses on technical, tactical and team-building
Summer is in full swing but Beach United Football Club players are already gearing up for the fall soccer season.
The BUFC team summer camps get under way in July with two one-week training camps. For boys and girls teams U-12 and under, camps will be held Monday through Thursday, July 24-27. Camps for boys and girls teams U-13 and over will take place Monday through Thursday, July 31-Aug. 3.
BUFC team summer camps are designed to focus on three levels of training - technical (sharpening individual skills), tactical (team and game strategies), and team bonding (building chemistry on and off the pitch).
To avoid the hottest part of the day, camps will take place from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Both weeks will hold training at the BUFC/YMCA Fields at The Market Common in Myrtle Beach. Players should wear cleats and shin guards and bring water and a soccer ball.
Based in Myrtle Beach, SC, BUFC is an affiliate of United States Youth Soccer through the South Carolina Youth Soccer Association. BUFC offers soccer instruction and competition for boys and girls, ages 6-18; and fields Select and Academy (boys and girls) teams in the U10-U18 age groups that compete in the State Challenge, President’s Medal and Coastal Soccer Leagues.
