Beach United Teams Cap Fall Season at James Island Cup

Mundial wins U-18 Boys Elite Title; Four Teams Finish Runner-up

The Beach United Football Club, a Myrtle Beach-based youth soccer organization sent 13 teams to compete in the season-ending James Island Cup in Charleston, SC, over the weekend of Nov. 21-22.

Five teams brought home hardware from the fall finale, including the Under-18 Boys Mudial team that claimed the championship of the tournament's oldest and top division. The Mundial went undefeated 2-0-2, including a scoreless tie in the championship game, to capture the U-18 Boys Elite trophy.

Four BUFC teams finished second place in their respective divisions, including the Panthers (U-10 Girls Premiere), the Hurricanes (U-12 Girls Championship), the PridePumas (U-13 Girls Elite) and the Tiempo (U-16 Boys Premiere).

Also competing for BUFC in the tourney were the Lions (U-8 Boys Championship), Strikers (U-9 Boys Challenge), Storm (U-11 Boys Elite), Legends (U-12 Boys Elite), Force (U-12 Boys Classic), Crush (U-10 Girls Championship), Flash (U-12 Girls Elite) and the Fury (U-14 Girls Premiere).
