Beach United players earn high school soccer honors

Eight BUFC veterans collect all-state, all-region titles

With the 2017 South Carolina High School League soccer season coming to a close, it's no surprise that current and former Beach United Football Club athletes stood out in the crowd.

Beach United had eight players earn postseason honors, led by South Carolina Soccer Coaches Association's Class 4A All-State Team member JR Stanley.

Stanley also made the All-Region 7-4A first squad, along with Nick Beauchamp. Myrtle Beach’s Shavoy Brown, Lerol Parchment, Declan McGonigal and George Gore made the second team. They helped lead the Seahawks to the region title.

Runner-up St. James High had a pair of Beach United players earn all-region honors - second-teamer Andrew Broome and honorable mention Dalton Arseneau.
